Lamp Globe

You Won't Believe The Difference A Lamp Globe Can Make In Your Home

You worked hard for your home and possessions. Furniture sits proudly in your living room proclaiming your good taste. However, even the most beautiful home can look unattractive in poor lighting. Shadows cast on furniture can hide its quality. Bad lighting can also make a humble abode look dark and dreary. Worst of all, you may even look strange and scary under bad lighting. But what if your sense of style doesn't call for tall, clumsy lamps that can be easily knocked over by a wayward pet? There is an attractive solution. A lamp globe!

Lamp globes are short lamps that either sit on a table, or are affixed to the wall or ceiling. Best of all, they come in patterns for every personality, including floral, psychedelic, or attractive colors that cast a warm glow in any room.

In addition, a lamp globe is safer than a traditional tall lamp. Tall lamps are vulnerable to tipping and breakage. In the case of a table lamp globe, the light bulb is enclosed entirely in glass, and curious children's fingers don't stand a chance of a burn. With a lamp globe, the center of gravity is low, so it would take a stronger shove to push it off a table then would a regular lamp. If you do have the misfortune of a displaced lamp globe, you might still be in the clear. Many globes are made of thick, tempered glass that can survive a short fall onto a carpeted area.

Another type of lamp globe is the ceiling or wall model. These are the best choice for areas you wish to be well lit. A lighting unit is installed in the ceiling or wall as usual. Instead of a hanging bulb, a special lamp base is securely installed in its place. For normal home lighting, these fixtures can hold 1 or 2 bulbs, facing in either direction. Your lamp globe is then placed in the base and held in place by four screw-in pins, making a secure, safe fit.

Lamp globes come in many attractive styles as well. You would be hard pressed to find lamp shades that offer as many color casts as a lamp globe. Say, for example, you have a green-themed living room. A green globe would cast a lovely shade of green over the entire room, creating a better “light pool” than a traditional lamp shade.

If you have a wild streak, then a psychedelic globe might be just the thing for you. With their many colors, your ceiling and room is patterned with groovy shades to impress your friends.

If you have a feminine theme, floral shades add a nice accent to your home. The flowery patterns cast shadow outlines of flower petals in intriguing patterns across the area.

Now it's time to shop! You can find these lamps in lighting shops, both online and offline.
